Chapter 38 Makeovers

Verse 1

I am just asking, how many makeover-type programs can people stomach? There is one for almost everything, houses, rooms, faces ,bodies and whatnot.
For some reason it seems like all that matters is change,
or more specifically having someone change something for you.
I am not sure i would turn down a few changes of my own, but i do know i would take greater pleasure in affecting them myself.

Verse 2

My point is that even though getting things for free is nice,
being able to get the same things on your own is better

Chapter 37 Heard of Safe Driving anyone?

Verse 1

One afternoon a couple of days ago when we were driving home from Eskilstuna i realized that there are a lot of suicidal people out there.
And they look just like real people!
It was snowing heavily and the road was icy and with it being winter darkness was falling fast. Taking it easy and being extra careful we drove quite slow, wanting to get home safely.
Something more than one idiot didn't seem too interested in. Time and time again we were overtaken by cars going way too fast for the prevailing conditions.
Small cars, big cars even big rigs, they all seemed to be driven by people thinking that a minute gained was worth the risk of wrapping themselves around a tree.

Verse 2

If people don't have the common sense or self-interest to exercise proper caution, i say to hell with them, but it angers me that they put other peoples lives at risk. If they want to gamble with their own lives i wish they would buy a gun and play Russian roulette alone in a basement somewhere.

Verse 3

Not many deserve to die but even fewer deserve to be killed.

Chapter 36 Another weekend has passed away

Verse 1

So another weekend has gone by with a speed that as always boggle the mind.
On Saturday we went till Eskilstuna on a shoppingspree and brought a carload back home, but as usual i didn't find anything for myself.
Later as customary we stopped by at the pizzeria where we usually eat for some food, where i had a pizza that i cant recommend to anyone in good conscience.
Sunday came and went with not much being accomplished, which was quite alright too.
Sometimes you got to take the time to do nothing.

Verse 2

In slightly more than a month its my birthday again. Someone commented today that i seem to have more birthdays than others, an odd comment, i guess he meant that i seem to be so much more wise and urbane than most people. Yeah, that was probably what he meant.

Chapter 35 More Cake!

Verse 1

Went over to celebrate my mother's birthday and to see the latest addition to the family, my niece.
I also got to meet my brother's girlfriend, that was a first!
She seemed to be a nice girl.
Ate some cake, drank some coffee and best of all. I got some christmas presents!
I got a nice lamp, some useful things for the kitchen and a plaque to hang on the wall.

Verse 2

We had planned to get some shopping done as well but the store was stupidly enough closed. More money to spend somewhere else then.

Verse 3

Lastly and mostly right now i wish to see T fighting fit and ready for another song this coming midsummer.

Chapter 34 Moving on

Verse 1

Christmas was pleasant but without snow, something we have gotten a lot of since then. I received some really nice presents and i think the ones that i bought were appreciated as well. I have heard that the coffee at least was a success!

Verse 2

Last year ended with a loss in the family. Perhaps i should take it as a sign to get moving on a couple of issues?
Anyway i just hope that it wasn't a bad omen for this coming year.
The last year also brought with it a number of positive changes and my intention is that the new one shall bring some more. And with that in mind i will take some time to think and find some guidance to help me lay down some plans for the future.

Verse 3

To my family i just want to say. You all know where to find me.
