Chapter 202 Next!

Verse 1

I'm free and up for grabs again. The job i was on last week was not the one for me.

To make a week-long story short i will just say that they could not match my ambitions or degree of experience but i wish them the best of luck.

Chapter 201 Springdawn Part 2

Verse 1
The story continues and now the heroes Gideon, Chadras and Nestor join the tale.

Your thoughts on who to blame are interrupted by a shout from the Innkeeper Burke.

'The kitchen have some fresh rabbit-stew ready now' he calls shaking a large bell to get the attention of everyone.
Gideon walks up to the Innkeep and asks 'Any chance of getting a roasted rabbit instead? Not very fond of stew.'
Innkeep Burke stops shaking the bell to look at Gideon and answers 'I shall see what i can do, it might take a while though'
'Fine.' Gideon replies and goes back to the others at the table.

As Gideon is making his way back to table he suddenly stops and looks to the far corner of the room. Something seems to have caught his attention.

As Gideon a few seconds later sits down at the table he says to the others, 'We're being watched.' he then rests his chin on his arms on top of the table in a bored fashion with a facial expression to match.
Chadras tries to look without being noticed 'Who´s watching us?' he whispers.
While he continues to eat his stew Nestor listens intently to what Gideon has to say.

With night falling outside and the inns lamps and lanterns waiting to be lit you all find it hard  to see anything suspicious from your table. But you do realize that while you can't get a good look at anyone they can almost certainly see you, clearly illuminated by the crackling fire only a few yards away.
As you sit there trying to locate however is watching you the door opens letting a sheet of rain wash over the nearest tables. In walks two local villagers, one you recognize as the smith Oreshaper, the other Truedealer runs the general-store.

As they both take off their raincoats Oreshaper says to Truedealer 'This weather is getting mighty tiresome my friend'.
'True, true. It feels like midautumn instead of the height of spring.' Truedealer answers.
'Come i will buy us something to warm our bones.' And with that Oreshaper walks up to the bar with Truedealer not far behind.

At their table Nestor streches and yawns saying 'I think I will turn in for the night.'
'Me too I think, I just want to finish the meal.' Chadras says and grabs his fork and start eating.
Gideon that is still waiting for his food says. 'You do that. I'll stay up a bit I think. My dinner hasn't arrived yet.'

Nestor and Chadras both soon finish their meals and leave for their respective rooms and shortly thereafter a maid serve Gideon his roasted rabbit, not that big but with a generous helping of fried potatoes and an excellent sauce. With the help of a tankard of beer it goes down nicely.

Meanwhile, the maids go round lighting lanterns and lamps around the room as night closes in.
